CARBONDALE, COLORADO
The primary focus of this adaptive reuse project is simple. Take an abandoned warehouse building and make it into a state-of-the-art extraction laboratory. Situated near Red Hill in Carbondale CO, this industrial facility is approximately 15,000 sq. ft. and designed to set new standards in quality and performance with the extraction products industry. The exterior is designed with the playful idea of ‘peeling back the layers’ as the main architectural expression. Through the use a few simple shifts in materials, the design bringing warmth to the structure while providing minimalist expression, conveying the quality of the operation within through the remade exterior appearance.
