CARBONDALE, COLORADO | ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN
Local Chocolatier Mark Burrows fused chocolate production with a community-centric tasting cafĂ©, envisioning an immersive chocolate experience. The design amplifies the sensory engagement of the tasting room with sleek lines adorned by refined accents, narrating the chocolate-making journey. The venue’s textures and hues harmonize with the craftsmanship visible at the bar, where cocoa transformation unfolds. Reflecting Burrows’ beekeeping passion, the vibrant floor pattern mimics honeycombs, and the yellow-copper tones echo cocoa pods and copper pots. The bar’s front showcases cocoa seed shades through textured tiling, while leather stools mimic matured cocoa pod hues. A pristine white counter highlights the chocolates’ allure. Unique light fixtures feature patterns aimed at enhancing senses, akin to chocolate’s effect.
